Thinking of getting a pied a terre in Malta? Maybe moving to the island, or just investing in property here? Come along to Boatcare and take a look at the properties we’ve got on offer.

We have brought the same standards we set for our boat care, maintenance, installations, refits and even boat sales and brokerage to the business of property. It is these standards and attention to the quality of the service we provide that has built our reputation as one of Malta’s leading yacht services companies.

Malta is a good place to live, or to visit for extended periods. Friendly people, many of whom are good at languages and almost all who speak English, are always ready to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The weather is good almost all year round, which means the boating and yachting season runs almost uninterrupted through every month of the year. And there’s a lot to do, from outdoor activities, theatre and music to exploring the island’s 7,000 year history and a range of evening entertainment.

To cap it off, Malta is well connected to most major European and world cities, and a good number of smaller ones as well. Most flights to Malta take under three hours, which makes the island very accessible. It’s a member of the European Union, using the Euro which means that even bureaucratically; it’s an easy place to come to for EU citizens in particular. A large number of big companies have set up operations in Malta to take advantage of these advantages along with the island’s stability, robust legal framework and well-educated workforce. Compelling reasons for corporations, but also for individuals.

There are, however, specific procedures that must be followed, regulations controlling the purchase of property by non-EU citizens and of second homes by non-resident EU citizens, and of course duties to be paid.

That said, buying property is not an overly painful process, and Boatcare will be more than happy to provide full assistance.
