Designed as a long-range sports cruiser is a gem in Elan’s hardtop range with its innovative, impressive tempered glass retractable roof which incorporates joys of the conventional open yacht feeling and the luxurious comfort of the living space on board – all that at only one flick of a switch.
Its large powered lifting bathing platform serves as a stylish and yet practical feature which make access to the sea easier and in case of having a jet RIB or a personal watercraft can be launched and recovered just with the push on the button…no need to remove outboard engine or mounting cranes, davits…
For getting yourself and your guests safe and comfortable ashore, if required there is a hydraulic telescopic passarelle discretely hidden inside the walkway. The most distinct cause for Elan Power 48 being ahead of its time is concept of placing living area on deck. It is carefully designed to offer utmost privacy and comfort. It includes vast areas of sunbeds, U-shaped settee which generously accommodates up to six, whilst the fully equipped galley can cope even with the toughest chef‘s demands; from twin sinks, fridge/freezer, microwave… Sit-or-stand helmsman position is ergonomically designed and with perfect visibility.
Below deck, modern satin maple wood finish with walnut details combined with hull portlights makes bright, airy look and relaxing feeling with two or three double berth cabins layout. Forward stateroom offers king-size bed with en suite toilet and separate shower department. Full aft beam cabin welcomes guests with en suite bathroom and lots of storage. Amidships on a starboard side is the spacious third cabin with twin-berth or build-in sofa. Owner and guests can relax and entertain themselves watching flat panel LCD television or listening high quality sound system.
Elan Power 48 features the Castro-designed deep-V muscular hull for outstanding performance both at rough and smooth seas with up to 34 knots available from the 1150 hp engine configuration. The hull has been extensively tank tested in a shipmodel basin to achieve the best results within the parameters of installed propulsion, layout... The hull is designed for traditional V-drive propulsion and at the same time precisely prepared for revolutionary Volvo Penta system IPS which offers excellent maneuverability and handling.
The launch is scheduled for Dusseldorf 2008.
