Sleek, elegant, fast… Hunton Powerboats really look the part. These British boats are built for sheer exhilaration on the water.
Hunton can claim a 40-year pedigree. Jeff Hunton designed, built and raced offshore power boats in the 1960s and 1970s, winning regularly and seeking the ultimate racing craft. When he founded Hunton Powerboats in 1979, he joined his expertise to advanced manufacturing methods and new, strong materials to continue building some of the best racing boats around.
And the new company did find the success it craved. Hunton powerboats won the British Cruiser Championship in 1980, 1981 and 1982, and again every year from 1985 to 1989. In 1984, Hunton won both the cruiser class and the Index of Performance in the Round Britain Race.
Those first Huntons, the 23 foot Gazelle, established the company’s reputation and set the standards for all subsequent models. These are set high: despite their sheer power and speed, the builders have gone out of their way to retain all that anyone could need for comfortable cruising.
To get an idea of just what a Hunton is capable of, grab a copy of the 2005 film Sahara. The heros take a Hunton 43 on a wild adventure up the Niger river in West Africa, right into the heart of the Sahara. The actors make a mess of the Hunton, but really manage to showcase its power, style and comfort.
