Peterson 46
This particular boat is a Doug Peterson designed 46 foot sailing yacht with a centre cockpit, built in GRP hull with bronze fittings and stainless steel rigging and was originally, with her first owner, based in Chesapeake Bay, USA.
She is a veteran of 3 Atlantic crossings and was based and well known in the south of France from Monaco to St Tropez.
It was then sailed to the UK, where she was moved to Falmouth Marina for a refit. The refit time extended due to the quality of social life in Falmouth Marina, which caused her to depart from Falmouth for a shake down cruise to Malta on December 18th heading out into an Easterly gale.
Winter in the North Atlantic gives the opportunity for a steep learning curve on any boat. In early Spring she arrived in Malta and remained for the Summer. In the Autumn she sailed again to the South of France and wintered over in Cannes.
The following Autumn she returned to Malta and has remained here since for local cruising with occasional forrays to Sicily.
