Portomaso Marina is Malta’s only five-star marina. Privately owned, its three basins boast 1.6km of waterfront, and space for 110 fully serviced berths.
The marina is a part of one of Malta’s top residential and mixed use, centrally located seafront developments. It shares the area with the five-star Hilton Malta Hotel, an excellent casino, a beach club, a conference centre, shops and a supermarket, and a health and fitness centre besides the apartments. Within the complex, there is a good selection of excellent restaurants and bars, making Portomaso Marina a very pleasant port of call – or even a base!
Portomaso Marina is well sheltered, situated at the mouth of St Julian’s Bay and protected by breakwaters. Boatcare’s Portomaso base is right on the quayside at the centre of the marina.

The Msida and Ta’ Xbiex marina is the largest in Malta, with mooring facilities for more than 700 boats on 15 serviced pontoons. It is currently administered by the Malta Maritime Authority, but that may soon change. The marina is earmarked for privatization. It is located inside Marsamxett Harbour, which means it is safe and well sheltered, as well as conveniently central.
Boatcare’s Ta’ Xbiex office is at the bottom of Abate Rigord Street, just metres from the quay and easily accessible from both the Ta’ Xbiex and Msida sides of the marina.
